binaryhelm.com is where Binary Helm shares games in development with invited people. This page lists everything the site keeps about you and why.
When you sign in with Google
Google sends us your name, email address and profile picture. We use them only to recognise you and check whether you've been given access. We don't ask for, and can't see, your Gmail, contacts, files or anything else in your Google account.
Your sign-in is kept in one cookie (bh_session) in your browser for up to 14 days. It's needed for the site to work, so there's no cookie banner. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
What we store on our server
- Access requests: your email, name, the projects you asked for, your optional note and the date.
- Approved accounts: your email and which projects you can see.
- Demo activity: when you download or play a demo, we record your email, the project, the time and your IP address, so we know who has a copy.
- Server logs: our host (Fly.io) keeps short-lived technical logs, which include IP addresses.
Who else is involved
- Google handles sign-in, and serves the site's fonts and the sign-in button. Google's own privacy policy covers those requests.
- Fly.io hosts the site and its data in the United States.
We don't sell or share your information with anyone else, and we don't use it for marketing.
Removing your data
Email binaryhelm@gmail.com and we'll delete your access request, approval and demo activity records. Signing out deletes the sign-in cookie from your browser right away.
